Over the past few months a new exciting competition and trophy was up for grabs. Following 4 qualifying medal rounds in which members received points for how they finished in each, the top 16 played out the Final on Sunday 27th September. A wet and windy day did not dampen a fierce but friendly battle. Although Alan Tweedie qualified in first position, it was a straight fight out over 18 holes of net medal play. Alfie Higgins came third with a net score of 65 with the top two tying with a net score of 63, an incredible 5 under par. It was Ryan Henderson, seen here with the trophy, that came out winner on countback from Cliff Livingstone. The Club are so grateful to Gary Grigg, seen presenting the trophy, for not only his sponsorship, but for the format that he wanted, to encourage participation.
