One of the first major competitions of the season is the Captain’s Cup. Gordon Henderson our new Captain is seem presenting Liam Smith, who had a net 62.

In our last post from our presentation night it was missing one important person, who could not make the night. Our Club Champion David Service was unable to attend. So we managed to catch him this Sunday to make the above presentation which includes our traditional hallmarked silver medal. The reason we caught him was he was winning something else, as he was in the final of our Winter Singles against Liam Higgins. Once again he was a winner

Our annual Presentation Night, when the major winners of the last season are celebrated took place on Saturday 14^th March, just along the road from the Clubhouse, at the Masonic Hall. The night included a magnificent buffet and live music, to dance the night away. We are very fortunate that the majority of our competition sponsors are members of the Club.
Therefore as tradition a number of them presented some of our major trophies. A few to mention are our Senior and B Section winners Alan Tweedie and Terry Gillan, presented by Eddie Whoriskey. Then Eddie presented the C Section trophy to Billy Finnigan, a bittersweet moment for Eddie as he was the defeated finalist.

Sunday 1st March saw the Club holding the Annual Hickory Championship played over 9 holes with hickory clubs. Ross Noon is seen being presented with the trophy by our new Captain Gordon Henderson. It was a tight competition as Ross posted a 36 the same as Alan Tweedie, but Ross was the victor on countback. Great shooting by both and well done to all those that took part.

The Club AGM will take place in the Club lounge on 20th February at 7pm. Members are reminded that to be able to attend and vote, you must have paid your subscriptions.

The 2025/26 Presentation Night will be held at the Masonic Halls on Saturday 14th March.
