The 2024 Musselburgh Amateur competition took place at Royal Musselburgh Golf course on 21st September 2024. The historic competition is restricted to members of the three Musselburgh course, those that live in Musselburgh or work in Musselburgh. It is now played in rotation between the three and next year will be at our course. Once again our wee club came out with winners. Steven Fairgrieve won the handicap competition with a 71 gross net 67, and John McFeely was third in the Seniors event. Congratulations to both.
The following day our B Champion Stevie Peters had a hole in one at competition at Scotscraig. It was a two man Texas Scramble, and oh how the golfing gods give with one hand, as at the next hole they had an 8 at a par 4.
